UPMC says it has contacted all patients who may be affected and will offer free testing to them to ensure their health and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> As stated in a KDKA article, \u201c UPMC reported an internal quality assurance review at UPMC Jameson found that the proper cleaning process was not documented and followed for some ultrasound probes used in internal prostate, obstetrical and gynecological exams. Any related health risks are extremely low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"part1\">Corrective measures were immediately implemented. A report was filed with the Department of Health, and we have notified The Joint Commission.\u201d<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><h3 class=\"part2\">The Danger is Real<\/h3><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Attorney Dallas M. Hartman, \u201cour office has handled similar exposure lawsuits in Pittsburgh and across the country. You never expect to see something like this in your hometown.
